The Northwest PVA Chapter hosted a community Day of Service in October 2024. Participants included Comcast employees, Northwest PVA Members, and our own Burien community members. We all came together to transform the facility from Halloween haunts to a festive Christmas wonderland. They took down the previous month’s Halloween decorations and joyfully set up a Christmas tree along with cheerful holiday decorations. The day was filled with camaraderie and community spirit, showcasing the collective effort to bring holiday cheer to the Veterans. Additionally, there was an exciting highlight to the event. Previously, the chapter had participated in brewing two types of craft beers. During this gathering, they came together to bottle and taste the unique craft beers they had brewed. This added a delightful and flavorful touch to the day, further enhancing the sense of community and collaboration.
