PVA Education Foundation Opens 2017 Grant Cycle

The PVA Education Foundation, helps develop tools that share knowledge about and improve the lives of people living with SCI/D. Foundation funding of grant projects, conferences and symposia has exceeded two million dollars over the past decade.

The PVA Education Foundation provides funding in five project categories:

Consumer and Community Education to improve the health, independence and quality of life for individuals with SCI/D

Professional Development and Education to improve the knowledge and competencies of health professionals who serve the SCI/D community, including fellowship and traineeship programs

Research Utilization and Dissemination, which translates findings into practice

Assistive Technology – development of teaching tools or pilot programs that demonstrate innovative approaches to the use of assistive devices

Conferences and Symposia that provide education and collaboration opportunities for members of the SCI/D community

The annual grant application cycle for 2017 is now open.  Applications may be submitted online at https://proposalcentral.altum.com. All applications must be submitted through proposalCentral.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Grant awards will be made in May for a grant period of June1, 2017 – May 31, 2018.  The maximum award is $50,000 for a grant project and $15,000 for a conference or symposium.
