Thank you for your interest in membership with the Northwest Chapter Paralyzed Veterans of America. There are no dues for membership and many benefits to becoming a member of NWPVA.

PVA VETERANS BENEFITS DEPARTMENT
The PVA Veterans Benefits Department (VBD) provides assistance and representation before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), without charge, to veterans with spinal cord injury or dysfunction, and their eligible dependents.
They can advise you on all federal and state programs, including:
- AIDE AND ATTENDANCE
- HOUSEBOUND BENEFITS
- NON-SERVICE CONNECTED PENSION
- EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS
They can also assist with questions regarding:
- FEE-BASED CARE
- NURSING HOME CARE
- HOME HEALTH CARE
- VA OUTPATIENT CARE
- HOSPITAL CARE
- GOVERNMENT INSURANCE
- HOME LOANS
The assistance is offered through a network of highly skilled National Service Officers (NSOs) located in 56 offices nationally.
NORTHWEST NATIONAL SERVICE OFFICERS

The National Service Officers also maintain an office at the Spinal Cord Injury Ward at the Seattle Campus of VA's Puget Sound Health Care System. The telephone number is 206-768-5415.
The NSO's are available to help with any questions you may have, and to help advocate for you.
Patient information, including the names of nurses, doctors or therapists is never divulged to anyone without your permission.

ONSITE - Every Monday
The NWPVA HLO reports to and works together with the NSO's to provide Veterans Benefits. He is also available to answer questions and advocate for your care at the Seattle Veterans Hospital.
